Chris Fredenburg has been a police officer for 23 year and has called Saginaw Township Police Department home since the year 2000. 

Officer Fredenburg is a Crime Prevention Specialist and has been assigned to Saginaw Township’s Crime Prevention Unit since 2003. In 2004 he received the Department’s Officer of the Year award for his implementation of several Crime Prevention Programs. Some of his duties include coordinating the Shoplifter Task Force, and serving as a Liaison and problem solver to the Saginaw Township Business Community. He administers an aggressive crime suppression program in rental communities as well as serves as a School Liaison Officer where he instructs the T.E.A.M. program within area schools. He also investigates property crimes and acts as a Public Liaison and Neighborhood Watch Coordinator. 

Officer Fredenburg earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Northern Michigan University. He was trained and certified in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) at the National Crime Prevention Institute at the University of Louisville. He has also been certified in Terrorism Risk Assessments through Michigan State University.
